The Community Meeting on 31 August at the Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club was a massive success, with around 250 concerned and angry locals in attendance and attracting the attention of the media with TV News coverage on Sunday and on Sky News on Monday. With Basil Zempelis and Brad Pettitt there as guest speakers it was encouraging to hear their 'take' on how our campaign is putting pressure on the Government.

The next steps were set out in the handouts given to everyone. We need a massive e-mailing campaign to the Press to MP's. Additionally once the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) opens the project for comment we need to flood them with queries and concerns, this will be very important. We will also be looking to take direct action.
