About Us

Community is strength

The Save Burswood Park Alliance is a community group formed in June 2024 when the WA Government announced a plan to create a $217.5 million V8 Supercars race circuit in Burswood Park, between Optus Stadium and Crown Casino. Not surprisingly the local community was outraged.

Lively discussions on Facebook saw a group emerge named Save Burswood Park, and talented leaders stepped forward to form a committee and an alliance.

Our aim is to encourage the Government to abandon this development. The gentle green landscape in front of the Burswood Park residential area is the wrong location for such a destructive and unwanted blight on our tranquil neighbourhood.

The Government’s plan ignores the Burswood Park Board’s 20-year vision document which was well received by the community and the local government, the Town of Victoria Park.

The Save Burswood Park Alliance, supported by a growing band of volunteers from all walks of life and professions, aims to provide evidence-based opposition to the destruction of Burswood Park. If you share our beliefs, please join our campaign! And if you can, donate to our fund (it pays for hosting this website, flyers, posters etc).
